Anger

By Charles Hunter, QP0955

I have always viewed anger as a sinful act of humanity, but as my eyes was opened to God’s anger, I realised that anger in itself is not bad, but what we do with it.

We was created in God’s image and He gets angry about sin and our rebelliousness. God does not go around destroying or cursing at us. He said that it’s good to get angry at things such as sin, but tells us we are not to sin in our anger.

I always seen people breaking things and hitting people and disrespecting those around them when they got angry. I thought that was the norm and what you was supposed to do when you got angry. I broke a lot of things in anger through my life but they were usually my own things. I have disrespected those around me during my anger but I have seen how my reactions while I was angry has destroyed my life or drove people away so now I am trying to reteach myself not to act as I have in the past but more as Jesus wants us to.
